Lost Sea Opals collaborates with Australian fashion label LUELA at Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Australia, April 30 to May 4 2012.
Jo Lindsay of Lost Sea Opals is delighted to once again to be working with Julie Shaw and Brenda Ayoub of fashion label LUELA at the Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Australia in Sydney by the harbour.
Jo has created a range of pieces to compliment and balance with the colour and style of LUELA’s latest collection.
By showing at fashion week Jo is attempting to portray the beauty and to make known the many variations of colour and pattern Australian Opal has to offer.
The soft coral, pinks and oranges are just one combination of the variable gem stone and it has been a fascinating process for Jo putting together settings, stones and accessories to fit with LUELA’s latest collection.
‘it was a fantastic and inspiring process working through ideas with Julie to create a new collection of bangles, cuffs, pendants and earrings to compliment the collection LUELA has for this year’s fashion week - and I just can’t wait to see it all on the catwalk.’ Jo said.
Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Australia runs from April 30 to May 4, 2012 at Circular Quay, Sydney.

Fine Jewellery at the Races.
The Easter Races at Lightning Ridge attracted some of the fastest horses in the region and was heralded a huge success by organisers. Not only for the prize money did they come but also the chance to win the coveted Dale Bruce Memorial Opal Bracelet.
The Opal Bracelet which the winners received is valued at $15,000.
Opals used in the bracelet were donated by local opal miner Aaron Bruce and the bracelet was handcrafted by Lost Sea Opals jeweller and designer Jo Lindsay.
The result was this elegant 18k gold bracelet featuring five blue-green, Lightning Ridge opals, accented by six diamonds.
Race goers clambered to get a glimpse of this most fabulous of trophies and Lightning Ridge must be one of the only race meetings to offer such a grand incentive to race horse owners.
The Opal Bracelet Cup race was won by Temperate Prince ridden James Geppert and trained by Robbie Harrison.
Temperate Prince is owned by R Nalder, Mrs Maureen Nalder and Anita and Shanae Murray, who are now also the proud owners of the beautiful Opal Bracelet of 2012.
A great day was had by all under a warm and sunny sky with plenty of refreshment on hand. Congratulations to all the winners and of course the organisers for another great day at the Lightning Ridge Horse Races 2012.
